I’m a beginner player in Colorado and I have a American Standard Strat. I’m using the same gauge of strings as you used in your Ellie Goulding “love me like you do” cover 010-046. I have a fender mustang IIv amp and I’ve tried so hard to replicate the sound of your guitar in that cover of Ellie Goulding. I noticed you use it quite often in many of your covers. I would really appreciate some help on how I could replicate that sound. I’ve come close but i’ve seen to be at a dead end. Any pointers. I’ve jumped on Fenders website and sampled a few hundred presets I downloaded to my amp but still fail in replicating that sound.

Could you please tell me what do you use if you record a song? (audio interface, mixer, computer program? I really love it and i would like to have the same kind of sound for my private demo’s.
